Well you come on like a comet ideas in your head
Starving for affection waiting to be fed
Crazy like a full moon eyes open wide
Taking in everything you need to stay alive
Who leads who
who knows when
If you leave me now will I see you again
Chorus:
I'm telling you love bites like a satellite
Going round and round
It's something
something you can't fight
Oh in the daylight and even in the dark night
I want you lo surround me surround me like a satellite
Oh you move like a shadow of your own design
Do you want to trap me in between the lines
I don't walk on water if you think I can
if you want a miracle call up a Superman
Who leads who
who knows when
If you leave me now wilI I see you again
Chorus:
I'm telling you love bites like a satellite
Going round and round
It's something
something you can't fight
Oh in the daylight and even in the dark night
I want you to surround me surround me like a satellite
Are we there is this love
is this a space race
That we're both part of
I'm telling
telling you
Love bites oh like a satellite
Oh oh going round and round
It's something
something you can't fight
Oh in the daylight even
even in the dark night
I want you to surround me surround me like a satellite
Oh in the daylight even
even in the dark night
I want you to surround me surround me like a satellite

This is my favourite Elton John's song. It's never played on the radio. I guess there aren't many people who like it. Ice on Fire's his best album too.

"He came from a lot of blues and funk. And he did have that soulful quality about himself that wasn't typical in the artists of his day."
"Satellite" was one of the many dozens of great soulful numbers that fell under the musical genius's radar, due to his 1976 interview with "Rollingstone" magazine.
Whatever he had, it just agreed with me.
It always did!

Sadly, most Elton fans don't receive this or Leather Jackets well. They were not perfect albums, but they did have some worthy tracks that I'd just put into one album! Satellite is one of them=:)
